✦ 01・COMMON SCAMS & WARNING SIGNS

  • Lowball Offers: After dropping or grabbing a valuable card, players may DM you offering far below its market value. Always research prices before selling.
  • Koibito Scams: Be cautious of Koibito services requiring you to transfer valuable cards. Never assume they'll be returned.
  • Fake Giveaways: Avoid offers requiring you to send cards, items, or currencies before receiving a prize.
  • Impersonation: Scammers may pretend to be trusted traders, moderators, or middlemen.
  • Suspicious Links: Never enter your account information on untrusted websites.
  • Pressure Tactics: Don't let anyone rush you into accepting a trade.

  • Give transfers items without guaranteeing payment in return.
  • Multitrade allows both players to exchange items within a trade.
  • Always verify card codes, quantities, and currencies before accepting.
  • Never blindly paste trade lists or commands supplied by another player. They may contain hidden valuables.

※ Tip: Use simultaneous trades whenever possible, and avoid sending payment or cards in advance.

✦

⌖ 03・BEWARE OF ALTERNATE ACCOUNTS

Using alternate accounts to gain an unfair advantage is against Karuta's rules.

Be cautious of accounts with unusually low activity, very few votes or drops, or large amounts of valuable resources despite little playtime.

These are warning signs, not proof of alting.

※ Warning: Trading with accounts involved in prohibited alting may put your own account at risk of being blacklisted, potentially costing you access to your entire collection and Karuta.

✦

⚠ 04・TRADING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK

Karuta does not monitor player-to-player trading agreements or reverse scams.

  • Lost cards, items, and currencies are not restored.
  • Trades and outside agreements are your responsibility.
  • Always research values and verify everything before accepting.
Important

Once you've been scammed, there is no guaranteed way to recover your losses.
