Understanding Your Cards
Every card has a story, and its details tell you more than you might think!
Learn how to inspect your Karuta cards, read their information, understand unique card codes, and recognize the details that make each card different.
Every Karuta card has unique information that helps you identify, inspect, and manage it. Learning how to read these details makes navigating your collection much easier.
01 Viewing Your Cards
Every card you collect is stored in your collection.
▸ Opening your collection:
k!collectionkc▸ Viewing an individual card:
k!view <card code>kv <card code>Example: kv abc123
Replace abc123 with the code of the card you want to inspect.
You can also view another player's card if you know its code. Viewing a card does not give you ownership of it.
02 Understanding Card Codes
Every Karuta card has a unique code that identifies that specific copy.
Example: abc123
Card codes are used for various actions, including:
- Viewing individual cards.
- Trading or giving cards.
- Applying customization.
- Managing your collection.
A card code is different from its print number. The code identifies the individual card, while the print number identifies its position within a character's edition.
03 Reading Card Information
When you view a card, Karuta displays several details that help you understand what you're looking at.
▸ Common card details:
| Detail | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Character | The character featured on the card |
| Series | Where the character originates |
| Edition | The card's artwork edition |
| Its print number | |
| Quality | Its current condition |
| Wishlist (WL) | How many players have wished for the character |
| Card Code | Its unique identifier |
These details help identify a card, but they don't automatically determine its trading value.
